About the Character:
1) Subhash Chandra Bose was born on 23rd January 1897 in Cuttack, Orissa.
2) He was born as a 9th child to Prabhavati Dutt Bose and Janakinath Bose.
3) Netaji was a meritorious student and stood 2nd in 1913 matriculation examination.
4) Bose stood fourth in the Indian Civil Services exam in 1919, but resigned 23rd January 1921.
5) Formed Congress volunteer corps in 1928 after being elected as General Secretary of Indian National Congress.
6) Bose was elected President of the Indian National Congress in 1939.
7) Netaji escaped to Germany on 17th January 1941 during house arrest in Calcutta.
8) Indian National Army with the help of Japan successfully took control of Andaman and Nicobar Island in 1942.
9) Netaji died of a plane crash on 18th august 1945 in Taihoku Japan.
10) Netaji’s ashes are kept in Renkoji Temple of Nichiren Buddhism in Tokyo.
